Misrepresentation

Many of the contractual disputes we deal with involve alleged misrepresentation. Misrepresentation is ‘an untrue statement of fact made by one party which has induced the other to enter the contract’. If misrepresentation has occurred it can render the contract voidable and may give rise to a claim for damages depending on the nature of the misrepresentation that has occurred.

In misrepresentation cases evidence is very important in order to substantiate your case and you must act quickly; certain remedies that might be available to you can be lost if you do not act quickly enough. If you think that you may have been affected by a misrepresentation you should contact us urgently to discuss your case.
