After completing his first degree, David worked in marketing for a number of years before retraining and obtaining postgraduate qualifications in law and legal practice.

David joined DC Kaye & Co in 2009 with a view to specialising in civil litigation and employment matters. David is instructed by a wide range of clients including private individuals and commercial companies as well as public sector organisations such as Parish Councils, in a variety of civil matters. David also undertakes criminal litigation cases for the firm.

David regularly represents clients in the County Court and is experienced in advising and representing clients at alternative dispute resolution sessions such as formal mediation. As well as his civil litigation work, David acts for clients involved in criminal proceedings, providing support and advice for clients at the police station when interviewed under caution and during Court proceedings.

David’s experience advising employers and employees in complex areas of employment law has given him excellent foresight when drafting and preparing contracts of employment and other employment related documents for both employers and employees alike. David is good at anticipating problems before they arise and he uses his legal drafting skills to provide protection for his clients in what are often very specific and unique circumstances.

David frequently represents clients in medical and professional negligence claims and is developing an increasing client base for claims relating to easements and rights of way.
