Born and brought up in Amersham and a graduate of University College London Howard was admitted as a solicitor in 1971. Over the years he has acquired considerable knowledge and experience of general practice in conveyancing, leases and all aspects of work relating to property.
He has also spent many years dealing with the administration of estates, trusts and wills in which he now practises exclusively.
Howard is a former Chairman of Amersham Round Table and is currently a member of Chiltern 41 Club. He is also a Councillor on Amersham Town Council and chairs the Planning Committee.
Howard also has a reasonable knowledge of French and Spanish. He has a keen interest in English literature and history with a specific interest in the American Civil War; he has recently published his first novel under the name ‘Howard Giffard’ entitled ‘From Wig to Sword’ which is set during the American Civil War.
