Robert Hill

Solicitor

Robert Hill joined us in November 2020.
Rob studied Law at Exeter University, followed by his Solicitors’ Professional Exams.  He began work in 1978 in a solicitors’ practice in Brighton, and moved back to High Wycombe (his home town) in 1983, when he joined  Reynolds Parry Jones LLP.  He retired as a partner from Reynolds Parry Jones in 2020.

Rob has extensive experience of civil litigation and dispute resolution.
One area of expertise is employment law, where he can advise employers and employees on contracts, redundancy agreements, unfair dismissal, discrimination, and all other problems which can arise in an employment relationship, including providing representation in courts and tribunals.
Another of Rob’s specialisms relates to land and property, including  leasehold property disputes, management of properties and property repairs and maintenance, boundary issues, rights of way, tenancy agreements, and difficulties arising from the sale of land.
He is also expert in commercial and business law, including disputes about contracts, between directors of private companies, between shareholders of private limited companies, and between partners in unincorporated businesses. He has negotiated settlement of difficult disputes, where the cost and delay of litigation have made settlement desirable for all involved. He has worked in teams dealing with business transfers, mainly helping with the difficult employment issues which can arise.
Other areas of dispute resolution have included claims involving deceased peoples’ estates,  accident claims, and building disputes involving renovation or extension of properties.

Rob listens carefully to clients, researches meticulously, and is able to explain and advise  on the basis of his long experience and up-to-date knowledge. He believes that it is important to explain legal concepts in language which is clear to clients, and to discuss in a straightforward way all possible and practical actions and outcomes.
Rob has great experience representing clients in court and in mediations.

Rob is willing to act for anyone who wishes to instruct him, and is happy to give a 30-minute advice appointment on commercial, employment, land and other civil matters to discuss your case and to give you initial help and advice at an inclusive cost of £200.

Rob is married, with two children now in their twenties. He lives in High Wycombe and enjoys walking in the beautiful Chiltern landscape. He enjoys keeping fit by swimming, yoga, aerobics, and playing racquet ball. His other main interest outside work is singing, and he belongs to two choirs.
