Termination of Employment (employer)

Almost every employer will at some stage be placed in the regrettable position where they must terminate an employee’s employment with their business.

While in many cases the termination of employment may be by agreement there are times where an employer will have to make the decision to terminate an employee’s employment for another reason. Employers must be careful to ensure that any termination is for a legally potentially fair reason and in accordance with current employment law otherwise it may give rise to claims of wrongful dismissal, unfair dismissal, or both.

DC Kaye Solicitors provide effective and easy to follow advice for you if you are thinking of dismissing an employee to ensure that you protect your business against an employment claim, or alternatively, if you are already in receipt of a claim from a former employee it is not too late to take advice and defend or otherwise manage the claim.
